Sabiu Ahmed at it again: 46 DAYS: QUEST FOR TAX BY PLATEAU GOVERNMENT WHEN MARKET IS CLOSED. Wise people said SILENCE GIVES CONSENT because if you dont object to something it can be assumed that you agree with it, though we are fully aware apple doesnt fall far from the tree. For all that watched yesterdays news, it is shown on the news delegates from Plateau State Government in our JNI hall with our so called leaders in a round table discussion on how to compell our people that were victims of same Goverment market closure to pay tax. I waited patiently to see how someone among our people will ask question like, how can we be able to pay tax when our market is closed and we are not government workers? To my greatest surprise the proof of the pudding remain only in the eating. As I wept silently in my room, tears falling and running in my face, i said to my self, this kind of insult is more hurtful than physical injuries, because they make us sheeps that is why we eaten by these undesirable wolves. It is an open secret the Plateau State Government does not mean well for our people, we are all witnesses, our areas are neglected interms of social amenities, our grave yards are intentionally blocked, we are denied employment in the state civil service, the old JUTH where Department of Family medicine is rendering services to our people relocated, our market closed, our Bukur Market demolished, now our revered Ulamu/Elders council becomes toothless bull dog due to the policy of divide and rule. How do you expect us to pay tax, when the national cake (tax payers monies) is diverted to the other segment, in a simple mathematics that segment that are enjoying should pay the tax, we are not fools, we know our right from left. Once bitten twice shy, after all these unpleasant experience with you guys, we shall sensitize our people to be more careful and avoid any payment of tax, untill the right thing is done. One mans trash is another mans treasure, we believe in buying and selling, while you believe in selling your right for a peanut, and in return your people suffer consequencies of unfavorable policies. We are not loosing hope, we believe in the rule of law, we shall seek redress in the court of law inshaAllah. Yauwaaaaa Allah Ya Isa. May Allah help us.
