Both are incredibly humble, remarkable achievers in their respective fields and true inspirations for billions of Indians. While Sachin always believed in letting his bat do the talking, Rahman continues to create music that touches our collective souls, even when people doubted the versatility of his compositions. No wonder then that the two masters are friends and admirers of each other’s contributions to society in terms of what they have achieved and the legacy that they will leave for young talents in the country to look up to. “I am a big admirer of Sachin and his personality. He is a source of inspiration for the country and just looking at his photographs gives a lot of positive vibes,” said Rahman in an interview. Now we don’t know if Rahman follows cricket and what happens on the field like any passionate sports lover would, but what we know for sure is that Sachin is a huge music buff. The Master Blaster is always seen with headphones looped around his neck. In fact, Sachin maintains that wherever he travelled, Rahman was always with him. “Your music ( Rahman) in different times, like when I was really happy or when I was feeling low, was my companion. So in a way you travelled with me,” said Sachin. Now this mutual admiration has made us wonder if the two giants will come together to create something really exciting and inspiring. After all, Sachin has the time now and Rahman has always made himself available to close friends. If that happens, there will be many takers for the unique collaboration and the two maestros will surely bowl their fans over!
