Sad but real article. My daughter is the grandchild of a Scots Guard, the daughter of someone who served in the British Army.... Thing is she also my daughter which means she is the daughter of an immigrant to the UK who was invited here by President Kennedy to research antiquities taken from the Indian Sub Continent and moved to the Britsh Isles... but will she only be seen for her non white part only? Perhaps... no I mean obviously! I was born and raised in the UK (and ironically my husband is a Brit by naturalisation having been born in a British Military Hospital). Anyways... I think my kids get a degree of racism on both sides of the spectrum which is why I am emigrating and will become an expat. Shame that this is part of the reason why I am leaving my beloved country.
