Sad news ... Goat Poop Mountain is gone. John finished transporting the material cause of that feature to the other side of the dry lot this afternoon. The material now constitutes Goat Poop Butte -- a small scale replica of Square Butte off in the distance. We set the last wood post for the feed yard and should have the project completed tomorrow. We were supervised by Bill the Cat, a stray who adopted us. Id like to construct a long metal feeder in the feed yard to keep hay up off the ground. The goats and sheep dont care but it would help in parasite control and preventing sand colic. Our evening chores are often decorated by a colorful sunset. So ends another Indian Summer day in the Chesnut Valley.
