Sad news for the first of this new year, JEFF GOLUB, a man beloved both for his music and his goodness, has passed. The guitarist from Ohio reached people around the world with his music. From touring with Rod Stewart and some of the greats of Rock, to leading his own Avenue Blue Contemporary Jazz group, to playing some of the hottest and most soulful Blues guitar around, Jeff Golub reached the top. And he remained one of the friendliest, kindest, most unpretentious and most fun guys on the planet. His last album, The Jeff Golub Bands Three Kings is his homage to the Blues and its three great guitarists: Albert King, B.B. King, and Freddie King. Truly, Jeff Golub is the Fourth King. Tragically, Jeff Golub was hit with a neurological disorder a few years ago. Its symptoms began with the collapse of his optic nerve, causing blindness -- and led to the further deterioration of his health. Through it all, he remained brave, surrounded by his family and friends. Without a doubt, heaven opens its arms to Jeff Golub today. He opened his heart to so many others and brought happiness through his music. Goodbye for now, Jeff. You rock. Here, Jeff Golub, Ill Play the Blues for You ~
