Sad news received on Fr. Pauls condition Dear Family and Friends, I received shocking and sad news last night on the condition of Fr. Paul Bailey. Many of you though as did I that Fr. Paul was on the road to recovery, sadly this is not the case. Fr. Pauls family, his dear wife Pat and their loving daughter Kim have scheduled an appointment with Hospice to see to Fr. Pauls needs as they bring him home to be with family, in loving care until our Lord calls Fr. Paul home. Please pray, Father we know full well that sickness and disease can come upon any of us at any time, and although we reach out to you in our prayer for your intersection and healing power to be upon those we so love. We also know that these bodies in which our soul’s are held are but temporary and that they ware out, and that which is truly us is called home to be with you. It seems that the blessed time we have been given to share our mortal lives with Fr. Paul is quickly reaching its end. For he has run his race and run it well, a servant of yours of which we are proud to call friend. Paul has battled and fought the good fight with heart that is weak yet filled with love that surpasses most men. Be with him we pray and those that he loves as his time with us comes to its end, but let us not shed the tears of pain and loss, nor shake a fist in anger and say “Why God, how could you take one so good.” Instead let us rejoice in his life and the love that we shared for all that is given by You. Amen.
