Sad times! My parents worked hard on the house the basically built, in fact as my sister said, they were the first recyclers or the new word, repurpose. The made sure most everything in the house was old, solid built and were proud of the things they saved by adding it to the home. The two hurricanes a few years back damaged the home beyond repair. I am attempting to move back "home" to Lumberton and we need the house taken down before it falls down. The estimates for the removal were way out of my price range so my sister, her husband and I started tearing it down ourselves. Bless its heart, it is a tired old home with the roof gone in places and our moms wisteria taking over the place in a nature re-claimation. It is hard work for three "older" people and I am not much help. They out work me 10 to 1 but I guess since I am the oldest, that figures. It is sad to see something our mom loved so much, but we are trying to save things that were special to her and use them in some other way. Say a prayer for the Seniors Wrecking Crew! We have heart, hopes and plans that we pray will come true. (I know there are some spelling errors in this, so please don't bother to point them out-just understand the feelings!)
