Sad to deliver the news of an iconic genius of our time that has left us with a legacy that will not soon be recreated. He was the man who sang with such ferocity that it shook his body and gave you the feeling that he was almost epileptic in his delivery. His voice was gruff and full of gravel but with the delicate delivery of a buffer fly alighting on a flower. He sprang onto the scene and came complete with FAMILY his family and that of everyone on the stage from Leon Russell. His songs were immediate in impact and powerful in lyrical contend and the Live Show was OMG Great! I saw him at the Orpheum in Boston and it filled the stage with a musical performance that was unparalleled and a visual presentation that boggles the mind and fills it wall to wall with memories to this day. This man brought the choral aspect to music with a background of singers that was like no other. They raised their voices and our spirits whenever we played this platter and allowed it to take us away on the journey. The parts, the arrangements and the sound of Great is something you never forget! Thanks for the memories and the music and always making us feel All Right! RIP Joe Cocker
