Sad to hear our friends Last July have decided to call it a day. Weve played together many times since they started in 2010. Always fun, professional, and a band we often put forward when asked to suggest our guests. We identify with their reasons. Being in a band is wonderful, but sometimes it is pure investment of money, time and energy. The pay off doesnt always come. The financial crisis sucked money from independent music across Europe. Many bands now subsidise themselves. Weve had to rethink our bookings and work harder to get events off the ground. Now and again, efforts trigger a response from someone compelled to inform the internet of their disapproval. With luck, its humorous, but often insulting or cruel. If asked, justified as their opinion and their right to express. Okay, but we think rights and responsibility go hand in hand. So last year we asked Alixandrea to contribute vocals to a track on our new album. The resulting lines Dvae sent were stunning, a stand out contribution, listen below and youll hear why.
