Sad to hear the amazing 12 Bar Club is closing down in London. I arrived to London as a 21 year old and walked into the 12 Bar in the week after I arrived asking for a gig. Andy Lowe the booker said play me some songs to an empty room at lunchtime. You want a gig tonight? He said then I opened up for Kami Thompson and Teddy Thompson that night. Kami and I then played many amazing shows there and did a lot of (musical) growing up in that wonderful room. I met john Paul jones there at a seasick Steve gig, and it was a great musical melting pot in the beast thats London. Thankyou Andy lowe for the brilliant work and support and all the staff over the years. And Good luck cleaning up your towering cd city office Andy .
