Sad to inform that the Owner of the Palace Roller Skating Center Mr. Ted, has passed after a long battle with Cancer. His son Todd, Manger of the Cherry Hill Skating and Fun Center will probably inherit the enormous job of keeping the most wonderful skating rink prospering. Originally, it was the Ice Palace, with a bar on the 2nd floor birthday party room. Converted to wood, I have skated there for over 30 years and recently told Ted, in person, how much happiness and joy he has given to so many, not knowing he was ill at the time. He told me how much he appreciated my gratitude towards all of his economical investment and emotional commitment to the rink(s...which include Holiday and Cherry Hill). He agreed to retrieve the antique roller skating wheel cleaning machine, located in the Pro Shop, which had been removed but he said he was attending a convention of rink owners and would try to get it back for me since I was the only one asking for it. It now stands next to the in-line rental stand in the Pro Shop. How ironic I wore Palace Roller Skating Center T-Shirt to the Caln Late Skate sat nite, unaware that his passing was in process. Thank you Ted for making a safe sanctuary for the children of the Universe. Mr. Ted, you left a mark on everyones heart that will never fade away. I am unable to express my sorrow in words.
