Sad to report that Wilde Sapphire picked up a leg injury yesterday, and will be on the sidelines for some time. It seems she picked up the injury at some stage during her brilliant success yesterday, which makes her victory all the more remarkable. Shes to go for a scan early next week to determine the extent of the injury, and until such time we simply wont know when, or indeed if, shell race again. Hard to take given the way she won yesterday, but thats the nature of the racing game. The highest of highs yesterday, the lowest of lows today. If it was the last time we saw her run, and a pray to God it wasnt, what a thrill she gave us. Fingers crossed the injury isnt as bad as it looks. Naturally Ill keep her ever growing fan club informed when I can. Hope shes Rightly!
