Sadly Canadians have vilified public transit. Taking the bus signifies to all that you are too poor to afford a car, or public transit is for delinquents with no drivers licenses. Because of this training the oldest boy that public transit is a great/green resource to get to school has resulted in tears of embarrassment. Tomorrow we practice going to school via public transit. Clearly this a terrible thing and he would rather rides to school like his other friends. Public transit is not evil. Its a fantastic resource. Tell your kids riding transit is a great thing.
