Sadly, Crofton First member Father Paul Surlis passed away this morning. Fr Surlis was a kind man who believed in equal rights, and has written a number of thought-provoking published articles. One was back in 2006 about sprawl, and his huge opposition to Wal-Mart wanting to build in Crofton. He will be greatly missed. His funeral will take place at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Davidsonville Rd in Crofton on Saturday, June 7th at noon. Our condolences go out to the entire Surlis family.
