Sadly I look at this whole Sugar Loaf Issue as an amusement. - TopicsExpress

Sadly I look at this whole Sugar Loaf Issue as an amusement. There is a reason that nobody has stepped up and got the place going. For one the property has been divided up into different ownerships. Weather patterns(not this year), cheap flights out west, cost of skiing and I guessing insurance rates and Location as well. I do not know much about the ski industry and have not followed it but its my understanding is ski resorts are not very feasible without land development profits and other profit centers. I think the only way we will ever get something going at Sugar Loaf is if someone, someone wealthy enough steps in and can acquire the property first, puts the parts back together and then offers it to some sort of local non profit. At where it stands the property is apparently not a profitable venture otherwise someone would have stepped up. In the meantime the people living within eye sight have to sadly watch it sit and rot. Hopefully for them something will become of these planned inspections, but that too will take time. :) Just my 2 cents
