Sadly I must make the announcement that I have reluctantly - TopicsExpress

Sadly I must make the announcement that I have reluctantly accepted the resignation of Chris Scaff, our North Central Sr. Ride Captain. Chris had submitted his resignation a couple of times since his accident but they were rejected. We wanted Chris to know that his temporary residence in PA. due to his accident was just that, only temporary, and no one would be taking his position. Chris sole idea for resigning was not thinking of himself, he was thinking of NC IN., so nothing got dropped, that no missions went attended. We assured Chris our other RCs would fill in for him and wed get the missions accomplished. We wanted him to focus solely on getting better, that was our main goal, and we werent interested in the least with finding a replacement for him. Knowing Chris as we all do, hes continuously involved in phone calls, emails, and likes getting into the nitty gritty details of his missions. Thats what Ride Captains do, and Chris continued to do it well from his hospital bed in PA. We feel with Chris staying as actively involved as he could, especially in the onset of his injuries, helped in keeping him active, giving him a purpose, but now has come a time where Chriss challenges have demanded even more of his time and effort. As State Captain of the INPGR I will accept Chriss resignation as Sr. Ride Captain, but only because I know deep in my heart that it is best for Chris at this point in his life. Even being away Chris would handle phone calls and worry about missions, thats just what an RC does...Worry. Chris needs to now focus all his energies on himself at this time, on his health, rehabilitation, lifestyle, means of survival, etc, etc, as if those arent enough things for a person to worry about already. Please give Chris your thoughts and prayers, he still needs them, and we look forward to seeing Chris back into Indiana real soon. We love ya buddy. Thanks for all youve done, and will continue to do for our military and their families, whether you wear the title or not. Youre the epitome of great leadership.
