Sadly due to drought and lack of funding the gates of the Moree facility are now being closed. This means we will no longer we taking anymore horses in at this facility. Our paddocks are dirt and sadly we are not receiving enough funding to keep up the massive amounts of hay, and hay is getting harder to come by due to farmers needing it for livestock. Once horses are rehomed from this facility the paddocks will be given a 6 month spell, they will have a grass seed mix planted and we pray for the rain. It is not a decision Ive enjoyed making but for the future of this facility the decision needed to be made. We have 5 horses seeking homes at this facility at present (Chance, Tilly, Clair, Judge & Amigo) and 2 that will remain in long term care.
