Sadly we no longer have this boat, ill health forced us to sell her a few years ago. She was a huge restoration job, which took years to complete doing all the work ourselves inside and outside at weekends, 90% whilst she was in the water so we could enjoy her :) We had her from 1991 until 2006. Originally called a Sirdar class built in Ely on the River Cam by Banham in 1949. There were 5 built, but only two had the same shaped roof, as when they were moved down to the Broads in 1953 it was found that the roofs were a problem for going under the bridges on the broads, so the other 3 were built without the extra central head room on the front half. Spent most of her life as a Hire Boat with various Boating Companies until she was sold off in the 1980s. We bought her privately from someone who couldnt afford her upkeep. We miss her terribly, we had some really good times when we owned her :) Lots of lovely memories to look back on :)
