Saeng Nuan was awakened early this morning for an early morning departure from Philadelphia International airport. I was a bit reluctant to open my eyes enough for the retinal scan to unlock and access her and she was a bit reluctant to awaken to prewarm her turbines. However, after refueling her, she was fully awake and ready for flight. Coincidentally, after a coffee, so was I. My thanks to the ATC at PIA for giving me no. 1 for departure and a no restriction, non-noise abatement route over water, on a busy post-holiday morning. At our current velocity of Mach 1.49 and altitude of 61,735 feet, we will have wheels down in The Seychelles in 9h12m33s, traversing a distance of 13,562 km or 8,427 miles.
