Safaricom was the First Mobile Operator to be licensed by the CCK, followed by Kencell. Orange Mobile came in later. Under the current Judiciary, Orange would have moved to Court to request that Safaricom and Airtel stop operating because they need time to import equipment and set out their infrastructure. As much as that request seems totally crazy- guess what? The Mutunga Judiciary would have halted operations of Safaricom and Airtel in order to listen to that crazy request. That is what people call independence of the Judiciary.
