Safarilink Aviation Limited expands its routes to Northern Kenya, now flying direct to Lodwar via Lokichar. They will initially fly five times a week (Mon–Fri) from Wilson Airport at 0700hrs to arrive Lokichar and Lodwar at 8:15 and 8:45 respectively. The flights provide a quick access to Lake Turkana, the largest desert lake in the world. The Lake itself is a natural treasure and a world Heritage Site. Turkana also has one of the longest living histories on earth; fossil evidence unearthed at Koobi Fora has led to Turkana being referred to as ‘The Cradle of Mankind’.
