Safest city- NOPE 11/7/2014 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESS RELEASE #1411M-1327 Subject : Daytime prowler arrested for attempting to break into residence Contact : Sergeant Dave Baca, 951-461-6308 On November 11, 2014 at approximately 1039 hours a homeowner (29700 block of Ski Ranch Street) was startled by someone trying to open his glass sliding rear door. The homeowner walked to the door, pulled back the drapes and saw a male Hispanic pulling on the door handle. The homeowner startled the prowler and called 911. Murrieta Officers arrived on scene and set up a large containment of the area. The suspect male was seen by witnesses running toward a large open field. MPD officers contained the area and with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriffs Department Aero Bureau were able to locate the male jumping over fences on Broken Arrow Way. Monte Vista Elementary was placed on a lock down as a precaution given the proximity to the search area. The male was arrested for the following charges: Miguel Angel Vazquez Male Hispanic 08/18/92 Murrieta CA 664/459 PC Attempt Residential Burglary 647 (h) PC Prowling 148 (a) (1) PC Delay a Police Officer ###
