Safety & operational message for 26th January, 2015 • Safety message; Near Miss reporting-definition of a Near Miss: A near miss is an unplanned event that did not result in injury, illness, or damage – but had the potential to do so. Only a fortunate break in the chain of events prevented an injury, fatality or damage; in other words, a miss that was nonetheless very near. Other familiar terms for these events are close call, or in the case of moving objects, near collision, or near hit. • Operational message; Microfiber storing during use: every employee must be mindful of storing Microfibers during usage. Depending on the cloth being used, it can be soiled with dirt, debris or bacteria. When the cloth is not in your hand/in use it IS to be properly stored in your trolley and/or brute/caddy.
