Sagar Bhardwaj and Abhay Mittal, both students of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University have been selected as the Google Student Ambassadors for the session 2013-2014. Training & Placement Officer (General), Mr. Saad Hameed, in his efforts to strengthen the AMU-Corporate interface, approached the leading IT giant Google to accommodate AMU students in its activities. As a result, two students from AMU, Sagar Bhardwaj and Abhay Mittal, went through three rounds of personal assessment and were selected to represent Aligarh Muslim University on national level. Both the students were invited at the Google India Community Summit held at The Leela, Goa. It was one of the largest Global Google Community Summit in the world and speakers from different nations participated in the gathering. The selected students interacted with entrepreneurs, country heads from prestigious universities of the world like Harvard and Stanford. They received training for application of various Google products in US, Egypt, UK, France etc. These students have been entrusted with the task to popularize Google products in AMU campus through events and workshops. The team will help the students to sharpen their internet skills make better use of Google products.
