Said goodbye to a lot of good soldiers today, some that Ive known for nearly 6 months. Its so great to finally be leaving this base. I have a lot of mixed feelings about Ft. Sam. Ive met a lot of good people and done some difficult training but didnt make the cut to be a combat medic. Ive been here for a long time through a lot of good times and a whole lot of shitty times, ridiculous rules and hard labor of being a hold over. I love this base and I hate it. Kind of a weird place but I leave it tonight with no regrets. Ive been given a second chance to stay in the Army. So one chapter ends and the next one begins and im going to seize the moment and do some great things. and Show those that bent over backward to get me a job and see me succeed.
