Said it before and Ill say it again. Moyes was the easy option, someone who wouldnt make many changes that isnt very outspoken. If we wanted to make a statement and show ambition we would have moved heaven and earth to bring in a manager like Guardiola, Klopp or Pellegrini. These managers would have totally changed the playing squad with a world reputation - top players want to play for them. The ins and outs would have been extremely interesting.Technical coaches would have been brought in, along with new tactics, and a genuine playing philosophy which would have given the team an identity. Im not against Moyes but there were far better options out there. Everyone comes on here saying about how we need to sign Gundugan, Isco, Hummels ect but why would they want to play for Moyes? Ozil went to Arsenal purely because of Wenger, Isco almost went to city purely because of Pellegrini, Thiago and Gotze went to Bayern purely because of Guardiola - Moyes doesnt have that attraction and none of the top players have probably never even heard of him. Until he makes a name for himself, we wont be seeing the likes of Gundugan at OT, club attraction alone is nothing these days. Players want preferable managers and a dedicated playing style.
