Saigon Bread Rolls. The new place on Belair Road. The place that sells cofee. Very friendly staff, Very Vietnamese, young girl a little clueless, but hey, Im sure shell figure it out. Stopped in to try it because this part of town is practically a kennel free zone. i asked for roast pok woll, and let them make it how they make it. Roll: Slight crust, no crumb, soft & chewy inside. bit of a let down. 2.5/5 Pate: meaty but dry, good flavour 3.5/5 Sarad: nice pickle and crunch on the carrot and daikon. no corri :( red onion (I know, lots of debate on this, I love it on salad, not so much on VDR) addition of spring onion was a first for me. 2/5 (-2 for no corri, +1 for no rettuce) Chilli: 1 piece of not hot chirri. I normally ask for extra, so this was a total let down, 1/5 Pok: meaty, not fatty, seemed to be not all belly pork. no cwackle, no 5 spice 1.5/5 overall 2.5 and a bit. Theyve only just opened, so curious to see others experience. Ill give them one more try in a month or so, If its not much much better by then, Ill keep the faith with SF and Roll in Saigon.
