Saint Paul Parks are collecting acorns to plant in the city’s parks this fall, and you can help. -- Collect acorns from a Saint Paul park or your backyard. -- Separate out sticks and leaves and any other non-acorns. -- Store in paper bags or buckets in a cool, dry place. -- Deliver in paper bags to the Park Permit Office at 1100 Hamline Ave. N., between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays. -- Then you can help plant the acorns, trees and shrubs on Saturday, Sept. 27 for National Public Lands Day.
