Saints 5, Luton Boro Dragons 1 Having studied the league to see Luton Boro Dragons form it had all the hallmarks of a low scoring game. Our previous result was a 2 - 1, so we expected something similar. Paul having decided to go away for the weekend left the club in the hands of Mark and Tim. They had their instructions from Paul on the starting team but even before the whistle they had to drop Liam in at the back in the absence of Aman who has suffered an injury playing RUGBY!! Shefford started with a high tempo and were rewarded a goal after only 3 minutes from Taylor Walker playing up front and who was making a real menace of himself. 10 minutes later and with the majority of the play Korbyn slotted in the 2nd. Luton then had the better of the play in the second period of the first half and managed to scramble a goal after we had 3 or 4 chances to clear 2 minutes before half time. Second half started fairly even but we had the slope and the wind in our favour and it was only a matter of time before we scored but we had to wait 15 minutes for a David wonder strike that nobody in the world would be able to save. Shortly after Jai having moved from defence into a more attacking role got his goal 3 minutes later. Even the Luton manager commented on the good football we played for Jai’s goal. The game was effectively over but Connor’s tenacity and quality pass set Liam up for the 5th with 4 minutes to go. No individual MOTM today, but David deserves a mentions again for his wonder strike and JJ who goes unnoticed but does his job simply and very well.
