Saints. I fear the reason weve lost out passion to live righteously rather than religiously is we have forgotten that although there is sweet grace through Jesus. God still demands our obedience to His word. Weve candy coated discipleship into reciting a prayer rather than a life change that calls us to action and to die to ourself daily. God doesnt take rebellion against Him lightly or disobedience but yet we seem to forget this truth as we live our own life. Have we become immune to justice for our sin because of Gods grace? No, forgiveness isnt the replacement of consequence its a state of grace. The more I read the Bible and learn about God the more I fear the distance and false picture the western church has given us of who God truly is. After all were called to a higher standard.
