Saints, there is yet another fallible teaching being passed off - TopicsExpress

Saints, there is yet another fallible teaching being passed off as sound doctrine which is nothing short of an erroneous assumption. Its believers hold the position that Jesus teachings / ministry were only applicable to the Old Testament and Old Covenant Believers (saints). We can know that Jesus was born of a virgin and of the Holy Spirit. He didnt have Adams seed (sin). He never sinned. He not only kept the Law but also fulfilled it. We also know that although Jesus was fully man He was also fully God, according to Scriptures. And according to John 1 Jesus Christ existed from the beginning and that through Him all things that were made were made through Him. If John 1 doesnt explain who Christ is nothing will. ▬The misconception If the teachings of Christ was only binding for those who were under the Old Covenant then that would indicate that His Word is not eternal. How can anyone conceptualize that Jesus came to teach one way but alter and / or abandon that teaching, which is the Gospel of Christ, after His death and resurrection? It completely baffles me how people come up with this stuff. Where are they getting their resources (info)? Certainly not from studying and rightly dividing the Word of God. Clearly Christ had 12 main disciples, the 12, as they were often referred to as in Scriptures. And of those 12, 11 became apostles. Which brings me to this question: what then are disciples? First of all a disciple is not an apprentice. Whereas an apprentice eventually becomes the master of his or her own trade, vocation, profession, etc; a disciple, on the other hand, remains under the same Lord and His teachings forever. Therefore, what Jesus taught, His disciple amplified, duplicated and executed without the slightest of deviations. In Matthew 16 Jesus asked: 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. This shows that the Gospel began with Jesus and that this would make it impossible for His teachings to be obsolete, especially since the apostles often quoted Him and mimicked His ministry. Do people somehow think that Grace is the end of discipline? The end of ministry? Declaring that what Jesus taught was only for the Old Testament saints who were under the Law is the equivalence to believing that Christ isnt the only Way. What do people suppose they are placing their faith in? It either ALL CHRIST or nothing at all. 1 Peter 5 East-to-Read Version (ERV) 6 So be humble under God’s powerful hand. Then he will lift you up when the right time comes. 7 Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you. 8 Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat. 9 Refuse to follow the devil. Stand strong in your faith. You know that your brothers and sisters all over the world are having the same sufferings that you have. 10 Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace. He chose you to share in his glory in Christ. That glory will continue forever. 11 All power is his forever. Amen.
