Sajad demands Job reservation for economically backward We dream to develop Srinagar as smart city; Sajad Lone Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference chairman, Sajad Gani Lone talks about his vision for Srinagar while addressing a public meeting at Khunmoh area of Sonwar constituency. He was accompanied by the Haji Lal Din Mir, party candidate from Sonwar. Addressing the rally he said, “I dream Srinagar to be smart city. PC wants the city to be safe and secure for all. We want our city to be affordable for all, and to provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds to live in the city, raise a healthy family, and lead a productive, fulfilling life. We want our city to be vibrant, with clean and healthy communities, active livable neighborhoods, and a thriving economy that grows from the middle out. We want an interconnected city, where people and goods can move from place to place safely and sustainably and without being bottled up in traffic. And we want an innovative, accountable government that delivers on its public commitments smartly and transparently, while harnessing the power of technology.” He stressed the need to develop the infrastructure, trade and tourism corridor, proper healthcare system and efficient delivery of public utilities such as water, electricity, solid waste, sanitation, and sewerage as well as associated government services. He added that we have a dream to provide congestion free roads and assure the people to modernize the transport services. “We will ensure on-demand availability of reliable emergency services such as ambulance and fire safety.” Lone said He further added, “We will focus on generating the employment opportunities for our youth and push forward our demand for job reservation for economically backward section of our society. We will ensure hassle free permissions for new constructions at the ward level and within 7 days from the date of application and permissions for construction of elevated structures.” He appealed to the people to go through the vision of Jammu and Kashmir people’s Conference which we will make public through newspapers before deciding whom to cast the vote. He said, “ I believe vote is the power which can change the fortunes of the nation and I appeal people to use it wisely.”
