Salaams all. A friend asked me to write a ramadan reminder so here it goes: I remember uni and being surrounded by idiots with big beards. Chatting sh*t, confusing me - making me doubt my own religion based on their cultural bigotry. We are marginalising the Muslims who can actually make a difference, who have the education and influence to make a positive change in society for us. And we are stifling the natural instinct of people we think arent pious based on our ego driven narrow minded stereotypes. We need to drop the pretense and self righteousness - realise that Islam has scope far beyond we can ever conceptualise. As does gods mercy and his love.
