Saleshando : GCC case politically motivated The leader of the Botswana Congress Party Dumelang #Saleshando says a decision by the Gaborone city council to order his party to remove campaign posters around the city was politically motivated. The council yesterday lost a court case in which it wanted the BCP to take down posters advertising its manifesto launch, held over the weekend. Lobatse High Court Judge Modiri Letsididi said he will advance reasons for his decision to dismiss the city council application on Friday. Speaking to Gabz Fm news after the ruling was handed down yesterday, Saleshando said this was a non-issue. Meanwhile BCP lawyer, Busang Manewe said the city council should have reported the matter to the Police to institute criminal charges against the #BCP. Council lawyers were not available for their reaction to the ruling.
