Place your orders online, and the Commissary delivers to one pickup location at the Salina Army National Guard facility. Commissary online sale coming to Salina, Kansas Reserve, National Guard, active-duty service members and military retirees can take advantage of savings on groceries during an online commissary sale for the Salina, Kansas, area. Orders must be placed by Sept. 7 and will be available for pick up Oct. 11 at the Salina Army National Guard facility. Commissary authorized shoppers can place their orders from the Defense Commissary Agency website, commissaries. Under the Quick Links heading, select Guard/Reserve Sales, and find the Oct. 11 sale at Salina. Orders will be available for pick up between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Salina Army National Guard facility, 2929 Scanlan Ave., building 350, Salina. Sale items include club packs, cases and regular-sized products of canned goods, paper products, cleaning supplies, pet foods and health and beauty aids. Some pre-packaged meats and frozen foods are also available. Shoppers must present their military identification card when picking up their order. “To ensure the Defense Commissary Agency is using taxpayer funds as efficiently as possible, if the sales event does not receive sufficient orders it will be cancelled, and customers will be notified,” said Willie Watkins, DeCA’s chief of e-commerce. “We don’t want this to happen and ask our customers to place their order at their earliest convenience and encourage others in their unit to do the same.
