Salisbury City press statement Following the appearance at the High Court in London on Thursday and given time to reflect the board at Salisbury City would like to issue the following statement. Contrary to any speculation or unofficial source the club are determined to seek justice through the courts to restore ownership and seek reinstatement into the Conference South. Prior to the hearing Outail Touzer, in email correspondence to the local MP, John Glenn, claimed he had sold off most of his shares some time ago. Clearly he did not mention this to the FA prior to his pointless appeal hearing that contrary to his claims were conducted without any legal representation or personal appearance from him. In the High Court, attended by lawyer Chris Farnell, barrister Damien Brown and CEO Paul Smith, Mr Justice Mann, who should be commended for trying to help the club, spent over two hours trying to unravel the dire mess the club have been put in notably from the initial acquisition of the club from Touzer and the subsequent unfair conduct of the Conference and FA. In summing up Mr Mann said there was a clear case of fraudulent misrepresentation by Touzer and aired his surprise at the FAs decision not to allow us into the appeal process when there was a clear case for the current board of directors to be recognised as legitimate owners. Mr Mann also granted us a number of injunctions against Touzer which prevents him from disposing of shares in the club and immediately prevents him from exercising any power over the club. While we failed to secure our objective of immediate ownership we are returning to court on Thursday in a further attempt to meet our objective. We accept, with the season kicking-off today this is far from an ideal situation, but we have no intention of throwing in the towel determined to ensure justice prevails and relevant parties who have hindered and obstructed us are legally brought to account. We will issue further updates when appropriate.
