Salute to Nolan for not just dreaming something as unthinkable (in Hollywood Sci-fi!) as a scientifically realistic plot but also for delivering such a super-rich visual experience! An out-of-the-world sci-fi drama unfolds on the screen and yet I cannot (for almost the entire length of the movie) disconnect it from the world I live in and there lies, for me, the real thrill...! In recent time, Gravity pioneered the science realism genre and the trend continues with Interstellar. Some of the highlights of scientific realism of this movie - Hours and hours of hard work by Kip and Double Negative to create a brilliant rendering of a black hole (Gargantua) with a glowing accretion disk which seems to arc over and under the singularity because gravitational lensing (thanks to the bizarre spacetime warp) - The spherical wormhole with a gravitationally distorted view of the far side - Time dilation in accordance with GR equations - A spaceship contraption employing a centrifuge that grants comfortable 1-g living conditions to astronauts Feel free to add more points and your views in comments! https://youtube/watch?v=WNepC_zvk9E
