Salvation 1. Matthew 10.34-39 The word Peace here refers not to the absence of war , but a conflict in the family . Not a sword used in combat ( Matthew 10:34 ) , but the fact that there will always be happy for our life and something like a sword will pierce our hearts and make us suffer ( Luke 2:35 ) . What the Lord meant is that he can sometimes be the cause of this pain ( Matthew 10:35 ) . The loved ones in their family turn against man and hurt . Family comes enmity and evil ( Matthew 10:36 ) . If you love a person in this world more than the Lord , you can not be His disciple . You can only be His disciple totally love it ( Matthew 10:37 ) . The Lord did not say that we should take a burden . Bales are inevitable ; take the cross that is optional ( Matthew 10:38) . As the first cross was a choice of the Lord , the crosses must be something we choose. Some think that , when in trouble or in need , they are taking up the cross . Not true, because even if they were not believers , such situations will certainly occur . Taking the cross is to choose the will of the Father ( Matthew 26.42 ) . The Lord chose the Cross ! ( Philippians 2.7 , 8 ) . Likewise, it should also be our cross our own choice. But if we indulge ourselves in the things of this life , we will not be taking the cross .
