Sam Rooney Cup results. Darren Donnelly & Anna Rooney had a last shot win over Niall Smyth & Collette Mc Grady. Gerry Sweeney & Kelly Mallon had a last shot victory over Pat Hagan and Geraldine Rafferty.Paddy Tierney and Geraldine Rafferty upset the odds back down with a comfortable victory over James Oliver and Bernie McGrady. Siblings Ciaran Mullen and Emma Mullen proved too strong for Paddy ONeill and Denise Watt after lunchtime. A massive thanx to all the throwers for helping to get the first round over in a week. We need another big week to get to our final, which is on the 21st sept. I would ask all players to make themselves as available as possible to get this memorial to Sam over in time. All proceeds from this tournament are going to Marie Curie.
