By way of introduction, my name is Sam Torn and I am the co-chair of the Kyle Field Redevelopment Committee, a former head yell leader and member of the Corps of Cadets, class of ’70. With regard to your comments regarding the game day traditions at Kyle Field, all of those traditions are a part of what makes Kyle Field a very special place. Will the Corps be able to march in to a redeveloped Kyle Field…absolutely. Will the redevelopment still enable the yell leaders to be chased and tackled by the fish…absolutely (or at least until the university or SEC tells us otherwise, but the stadium redevelopment will not affect it in any way). Is the cannon being considered…absolutely. The fact of the matter is our objective is not too change what makes Kyle Field special, but to enhance it and amplify it. I appreciate your sincere comments.
