Sam had a fab time this morning with Olivia, the lovely young lady we met exactly 12 months ago in Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Marathon 2013… We have met some truly wonderful people through Sam’s journey. Olivia and her family were so supportive to us during our stay in America and it was fantastic seeing them again today. Olivia regularly sent Sam cards and little pressies to cheer him up during his gruelling treatment when he was in America. Olivia and her mum are visiting from Philadelphia to see their relatives here in the UK. We were honoured that they made time to call in for a brew and a catch up with Sam. It was so lovely to see them and Sam enjoyed playing and chatting with them. He was very quiet when they first walked in the house, having not seen them for so long, but by the time they came to leave Sam would not let go of Olivia, giving her a giant bear hug – so cute!
