Samba Police recover all the gold ornaments SAMBA: District Police #Samba has managed to recover all the gold ornaments bearing 18.8 tolas which are reportedly stolen from the house of one Rajinder Kumar S/O Khairati Lal R/O Karalian, Ramgarh and on which Case FIR No. 50/2013 u/s 457/380 RPC was registered at P/S Ramgarh. The gold was today found in a polythene bag in the cattle pond from the house of complainant i.e. Rajinder Kumar. Pertinent to mention here that immediately after this theft, all the residents of village Karalian, Ramgarh had come out on streets and blocked the road leading to Ramgarh town. Heads and workers of various political parties visited this place to address the gathering and levelled charges of callousness and lackluster approach by the Police in solving this theft case. Shri Israr Khan IPS, SSP #Samba who held the Press Conference today said that he had personally supervised this case as there are lot of rumours going on this District and adjoining Districts regarding the presence of gang of thieves from outside. This fear psychosis had caused restlessness in the public who were looking for any smaller opportunity to vent their feelings and put pressure on Police. After thorough questioning, SSP Samba was of the opinion that said theft was an insider’s job and that has proved right. Now further questioning will reveal the motive behind this so called theft which infact was just an insider’s job. SSP Samba further disclosed that besides this theft just one more small theft had taken place in past 02 months at Rakhambtali, Samba which again looks like a hoax as no one could steal only gold ear rings in the pitch darkness and leave the artificial ornaments behind. Police is concentrating on the family and wants to grill the daughter who was sleeping in the said room and had also kept the main door open in the night for facilitating the thiefts, if ever it has taken place. The girl has got herself admitted in the hospital and therefore it is not possible for Police to make inroads in the said investigation for the time being. Police is also looking the call records of the family to ascertain the truth. SSP Samba said that only some petty thefts of Rs. 100/-, Rs. 70/-, Rs. 110/-, 1 Kg of Ghee and 1 Cigrette Packet have been reportedly stolen from the small temples and a shop in the last 06 months which clearly established that it is the handiwork of the drug addicts who need petty money for buying the intoxicants. He also said that we cannot rule out the possibility of small local thieves taking the advantage of fear psychosis, committing the thefts and pinning it on the professional thieves. So people should remain conscious and keep an eye on the drug addicts and known petty criminals of their area by cooperating with the Police and contributing in the Thikri Pehra arrangements which have been put in place in every village. Now after solving this theft, there is no other major theft case pending investigation in the District of Samba. The boggy of very tall and well built thieves who are assuming different shapes and sizes should be dispense with immediately as it is purely a rumour which might have been created by the petty local thieves in order to gain the advantage, mislead the Police and public, commit the thefts and convincingly put it on gang of outsider thieves.
