Sampson loved Delilah, she asked him repeatedly for the secret to his strength... 3 times he tricked her. Delilah means languish, think about that as you continue. Finally she says, ...How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death; Judges 16:15-16 She did this & brought him to his death for money. He was so blinded by his own love that he couldnt see her 1st three attempts to weaken and hand him over to the enemy. After continually manipulating him, he caved; inevitably costing him his life. (Read Judges 16 for the whole story) True love doesnt have a secret agenda, doesnt put self over the other, its not jealous but is kind. For a genuine definition of love, read 1 Corinthians 13. Her love was of her own, and used & abused this man for her own gain. Careful yall, there are many Delilahs still out there today.
