Samson update: The surgery to reconnect Samsons stomach and small intestine is over. He survived the surgery, but it was close they said. He lost a lot of blood and will be receiving a transfusion in the next few minutes. Praying the new blood is well-received. The next 24 hours are critical. He has three tubes connected to him for drainage. One from his chest, one from his abdomen, and one for his urine/bile. His pancreas had begun to be digested by all the free-flowing stomach acids. The surgeon did what he could to stop the digestion process. It is not functioning properly right now. They are waiting to see if it will improve. He is under close observation for the next 3-5 days. If he can survive a few days, he has a chance. Currently: prognosis is poor. We are exhausted from the emotional upheaval, but we draw so much strength from our loved ones. Every prayer and thought for us and Samson is so, so appreciated. You will never know what u all mean to us.
