Samsung has launched Tizen, a mobile operating system under development, as an alternative to Android. With Samsung owning the biggest market share of Android OS smartphones in the world, this action promises to give Google many sleepless nights. Even Googles exit from the smartphone hardware market by selling off Motorola was not enough to appease the Monster from Seoul. While Tizen will present its own challenges to Samsung, the company is preparing to drop in its own home cooked OS to replace an already highly fractured and confusing Android with its more than 13 versions.
