Samsung mZINE offers all-you-can-read Summit Media magazines Two industry leaders have teamed up to deliver an exciting new product to magazine readers and fanatics alike. Korean giant Samsung recently unveiled mZINE, a mobile application that offers an all-you-can-read magazine subscription service, and partnered with Summit Media to bring the publisher’s range of glossies to consumers’ fingertips. “We are excited about Samsung because it is our first foray into an all-you-can-read model,” says Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng, president of Summit Media. For a budget-friendly price of Php299 a month, mZINE provides readers unlimited access to their favorite Summit Media titles that they can enjoy either on their smartphones or Android tablets. Some of these titles include Esquire Philippines, YES! Magazine, FHM Philippines, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, and Yummy among many others. mZINE, according to Gokongwei-Cheng, makes digital magazines “very accessible” and “provides excellent value for money.” As an added treat, Samsung and Summit Media are offering 3-month free subscription to Summit Media magazines on mZINE for every purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from October 25 to 26. With 445 million mobile phones sold in the previous year based on the Gartner report—300 million of those smartphones—Samsung is indeed tapping into a huge market with very promising potential. “With Samsungs wide network in the Philippines, we know we will reach many more readers outside of the print product,” adds Gokongwei-Cheng.
