San Jose scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning and Kendry Flores retired 17 consecutive batters during his start in a 6-2 Giants win over the Visalia Rawhide on Friday evening at Municipal Stadium. In the opener of a four-game series, San Jose produced their highest-scoring inning of the season en route to the victory. Flores (3-3) worked 6 1/3 innings with two runs (both earned) and three hits allowed to pick-up the win. The right-hander walked two and struck out six during his 106-pitch performance. After surrendering back-to-back doubles in the top of the first, Flores did not allow another hitter to reach base until a one-out walk in the seventh inning. Brett Krill (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and Mitch Delfino (2-for-4, 2 RBI) had two hits and two RBIs each to lead the Giants offensively. milb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140523&content_id=76618550&fext=.jsp&vkey=recap&sid=t476
