Sanctification, progressive or instant and complete? I believe The - TopicsExpress

Sanctification, progressive or instant and complete? I believe The Lord has revealed to me personally, that it is instant and complete and not necessarily progressive. When one becomes born of the Spirit, they are instantly fully justified and fully sanctified in the eyes of God theologically speaking. Yet why does it appear that sanctification is progressive if it is instant and complete when we first get saved? When one is walking after the Spirit, they are walking in that complete sanctification they received when they were first born again, but when we walk in the flesh and not after the Spirit, we step out of that complete sanctification, giving the appearance over the course of a believers lifetime that sanctification is progressive. Sanctification is not what is progressive, walking after the Spirit and in complete faith in the finished work of the Cross is what dictates whether we are walking in that instant and complete sanctification or not. When we step out of the Spirit, we step out of that sanctification, that holiness. As we grow in faith throughout our walk, we are able in Christ to retain that complete walk after the Spirit in complete sanctification. So I guess one could say that our growing in faith is progressive because once we have that proper faith, and hold fast to it, we will walk after the Spirit, in Victory and hold onto that instant and complete sanctification that we received after our new birth experience.
