Sandra Simpson Runyan, thank you sooooo much for lending an ear this afternoon..and yes!!! Mom, was in the dining room happily waiting for me!! Here are a few pics of our exciting afternoon! First of all, she was still in her red flannel gown & I was , well....well get her dressed after her bathe...but before bath the staff was soooo gracious to the residents.. They purchased jewelry, lotions, socks, scarves & goodies for the residents & had them on display for them to choose 4 items!! Welllll, mom chose her velvet cap, her dangly red earrings, her Virgen de Guadalupe cup and bag of cookies! I then strolled her outside to enjoy the warm sun and afterwards off to play Chalupa! She was getting tired when one of the nurses aide came in to get her bathe.. She wheeled Mom into her bedroom .. I told her I would wait there for her while she got bathed.. Boy!! She didnt like the sound of that & was refusing....saying she was cold...I convinced her...but, in all honesty, I think she just didnt want to take her red gown off!! After her bathe I dried her hair and tucked her in.. We prayed, ordered her a sandwich for supper & headed home!! Thank you Lord ....I was thrilled to see Mom in good spirits today!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to pray with her.. Siblings, we prayed for all of you and your families! Anyways, I better stop here, as I have laundered moms favorite red flannel nightgown & I need to take it in around the top opening.....afterall, she did state I love my red nightgown, its soooo pretty and I promised to have it ready for her tomorrow!!
