Sandra asks: I have a Kombucha question! I recently started brewing my own kombucha. I made two batches....one looked like cellulite (for lack of a better description) - is this normal? The other one looked totally fine...but I did something that I am unsure of whether its a big no-no or not (!!) - I used a metal spoon to taste the booch! :O Is this okay? I am done with the fermentation process (14 days). And I also used the same spoon in both batches...the one that looks like cellulite (that I think is a bad batch but I am so new to this, I could be wrong, it doesnt look that bad). Do I have to chuck my batches out? Or.....? Since I used the metal spoon, will it kill either of my scobys? Or am I just being paranoid?? Any information would be so greatly appreciated!!
